Scarlett Moffatt won't let her body shape dictate her red carpet choices

Scarlett Moffatt served her red carpet eleganza with a side of body positivity, and we are so here for it.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star rubbished the idea that people should let their body shape dictate their fashion choices, as she wore a striking asymmetrical gown to the TV Baftas.

The 29-year-old made a statement in the flamenco style gown, featuring a black and white polka dotted top with one sleeve and flared cuff, and a dramatic black skirt with a side split.

Scarlett accesorised with sparkling heels, drop earrings and a high ponytail, and she was feeling herself – as well she should.

The former Gogglebox star shared a picture of her look at the Royal Festival Hall in London to Instagram and wrote: ‘What body shape can wear a gown? ANYBODY!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ladies live your best life and rock what your mamma gave you, beauty comes from deep within and shines through like sunbeams.’

She added the hashtags ‘#selfconfidence #curves #love #bafta #monochrome #dress’, and fans and friends were loving the confident message.

Charlotte Dawson left a string of heart emojis and I’m A Celeb campmate Adam Thomas called her ‘beautiful’, while a fan wrote:

‘Couldn’t agree more! Stunning doesn’t mean skinny.’

Another comment read: ‘Scarlett you look amazing! #preachitsista.’

Scarlett has been going from strength to strength in her career since being crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2017 – landing roles on both Extra Camp and Saturday Night Takeaway with her fellow Geordies Ant and Dec.

But she’ll be taking the starring role in her next TV show, as Scarlett let slip she’ll be back on the box with her family in a new series.

She told the Daily Star Online: ‘It is something different. It is with my family… honestly, I can’t wait to tell everyone as I am so exited.

‘I have probably said too much… Maybe it involves foreign travel.’

The Moffatts on tour? Here for it.
