Sarah Jessica Parker shares rares family photos as she wishes her and Matthew Broderick’s son James a happy 18th birthday
Sarah Jessica Parker celebrated her son James Wilkie Broderick’s 18th birthday with a heartfelt tribute and batch of vintage pictures on Wednesday.
The Sex & The City actress, 55, reflected how proud she was of her young man in a poem while also sharing family photos from her eldest’s childhood.
‘My beloved son, James Wilkie, On this day, you are 18 years old,’ SJP’s message began.

‘I marvel at the passing of those years but equally the young man you are becoming. My love for you is an ache and an honor,’ the wife of Matthew Broderick went on.
‘As you leap toward and into your future, I remain your privileged and steadfast confident and joyful witness to the year ahead.’
‘Happy birthday my first time voter,’ Sarah Jessica continued.
Signing off, she wrote: ‘I love you so. X, Mama.’

The great outdoors: There was a photo of a beaming little James running through tall grass.
The first photo showed the Divorce actress holding up an adorable baby James.
That was followed by a snap of the little guy bundled up for winter weather and another where he beamed while running through tall grass.
Next was a sweet moment between Parker and her boy that showed the actress holding James’ hand while they walked by a rocky shore.
Keeping private, none of the pictures revealed Sarah Jessica’s own face.

James is Parker and husband-of-23-years Matthew Broderick’s eldest.
The actor duo are also parents to 11-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha, who were born via surrogate.
Now that James is 18, Parker is worrying about how much she’ll miss him when he goes to college.
I can’t know, I can’t imagine what that feeling is to say goodbye to a child and hope you’ve left them with everything they need, here and here,’ she told Entertainment Tonight last year, pointing to her head and her heart.
