The couple, aged 56 and 59 respectively, appeared to be making the most of their time on stage as they won over the hearts of the audience before holding hands and taking a bow.

It was initially announced that a revival, which would also take place on Broadway and star the married couple, was being produced in 2020.

The opening of the production was later postponed due to the onset of the global pandemic, and it was pushed back a second time before an official premiere date was set.

Other cast members in the John Benjamin Hickey-directed revival of the play include Danny Bolero and Molly Ranson, as well as Eric Wiegand, who is making his Broadway debut.

Parker spoke about sticking with the show through the pandemic during an interview with Sunday Morning, where she noted that she and Broderick were dedicated to appearing on stage.

‘It was a priority for both of us. I mean, sincerely. And as dates were shifting, this play stood kind of in the center of everything,’ she said.

She went on to describe Plaza Suite as a showcase of the changing social norms that occurred during the time of the show’s original debut.

‘For better or worse, women’s roles and men’s roles, sexual politics, economy, class, culture, it really is of its time,’ she said.

The couple’s run on Plaza Suite is currently scheduled to come to an end on June 26th.
