Sarah Hyland thanks fans for support after revealing she spent the weekend in the hospital

Sarah Hyland thanked fans for sending well wishes after she was hospitalized over the weekend with an unknown illness.

The “Modern Family” actress, 28, explained in a series of Instagram Story videos Monday that she visited the emergency room on Friday after feeling like she “was being choked.”

Initially, Hyland thought it had to do with something in the air. She was having difficulty breathing, plus chest pains.

“Then I was like, ‘maybe it’s just a coincidence. maybe there’s something actually medically wrong with me,’ ” she recalled thinking.

After going through multiple tests, doctors cleared Hyland to head home on Monday. She still isn’t sure what caused her symptoms.

“There’s nothing physically wrong with me, so wonder why I was there?” she said. “No scientific explanation. Hm.”
