Salah’s one word response to reporter when asked about goal drought

Mohamed Salah delivered a fine one-word response to a reporter when he was asked about his recent goal drought following Liverpool’s Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade.

The forward, who found the back of the net 44 times in 52 appearances last season, had recently gone four games without a goal, only scoring once in his last eight.

But Salah’s winner against Huddersfield and his brace on Wednesday night suggests any such trouble in front of goal is now over.

When asked about his recent goal drought following Liverpool’s 4-0 win at Anfield, Salah simply responded on BT Sport: "Who?

"Who? Who was talking about my goal drought?"

He added: "We know how to play with each other. We know our quality and we are happy with each other."

The forward then laughed off his joke, clearly in a brilliant mood following his two-goal salvo.

Salah did appear to not celebrate his Champions League brace, but Klopp dismissed any talk of the 26-year-old being unhappy and hailed his latest goalscoring feat.

"I saw him celebrating, but I couldn’t see his face from that distance," he said.

"I know he’s fine – I saw his face when I took him off…little bit different."
