It was the hottest celebrity party of the year, with an A-list guest-list comprised of hip-hop royalty.
And Ryan Thomas was a long way from the cobbles of Coronation Street as he made a very unexpected appearance at Jennifer Lopez’s 50th birthday party in Miami on Wednesday.
The former soap star, 35, couldn’t contain his excitement as he travelled from Manchester to Miami for the icon’s gold themed bash, hosted by PrettyLittleThing owner and his BFF Umar Kamani.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner looked in his element as he chatted with the On The Floor hitmaker, her fiancé Alex Rodriguez and a host of A-list guests including DJ Khaled and Ashanti at Gloria Estefan’s $32million Star Island home.
Showing his appreciation for the Hollywood superstar, Ryan whooped and cheered as she regaled the crowds with an impromptu duet with Hold You Down collaborator Fat Joe.
He looked dapper in a crisp white shirt, leopard print tie and sparkling white blazer, paired with black trousers as he bantered with J-Lo.

Documenting the night on social media, Ryan was merely feet away from the Hustlers actress as she arrived at the party, before taking to the dancefloor with her pals.
Ryan joined J-Lo and 250 guests at an extravagant gold-themed bash to mark her milestone birthday.
Jennifer looked simply sensational in a plunging gold ensemble, showcasing her age-defying figure in the revealing number.

The birthday girl was the only person dressed head-to-toe in gold, ensuring she stood out from the crowd by asking her guests to stick to white.
She showed off a liberal amount of skin in her sequinned skirt and bralet, flashing her defined abs and gym-honed physique.
The daring attire boasted cross-body strap detailing, adding an edgy feel to the outfit, and was accessorised with giant hoop earrings and a gold clutch bag.
The star pulled her hair back in a high ponytail, serving to further highlight her incredible complexion and youthful visage.

Guests at the fabulous event featured a number of famous faces from the music industry, including Ashanti and DJ Khaled.
The party included a gourmet dinner complete with white orchid centrepieces, before party-goers moved into another room and began dancing.
Naturally, JLo was the queen of the dancefloor, putting on an animated display as she showed her friends and family how it was done.
The party was hosted at the luxe $32million Miami residence owned by power couple Gloria and Emilio Estefan, which happens to border a home owned by Lopez’s ex, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Aside from the party, Ryan has been on cloud nine since getting engaged to Lucy Mecklenburgh during a romantic trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast last month.
Ryan, who shares daughter Scarlett, 10, with ex Tina O’Brien, had clearly pulled out all the stops for the proposal as he wined and dined the stunner with a romantic al fresco dinner by the sea.
Ryan also took to his Instagram shortly after with two romantic snaps, with the caption: ‘Welcome to the family @lucymeck1.’
The couple met on Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls in early 2017 and confirmed their romance in July after months of speculation.
