‘He makes me feel sexy at 60!’: Ruth Langsford praises husband Eamonn Holmes for helping her accept ‘wobbly bits’ and boosting her body confidence
Ruth Langsford has credited her supportive husband Eamonn Holmes with helping her feel ‘sexy’.
The TV presenter, 60, revealed that Eamonn, 61, often tells her she looks ‘fantastic’ and that he ‘fancies’ her.
Candidly discussing her insecurities, Ruth admitted that she does have ‘wobbly bits’ that she doesn’t like however her doting partner helps boost her body confidence.

She told Closer magazine: ‘I definitely feel sexy at 60, but a big part of this is thanks to my husband.
‘I don’t have Botox or fillers so I see pictures of myself and go, “Is that me? Whose neck is that?” Most of the time it doesn’t bother me and a lot of my friends, who aren’t in TV, well we all look like this.
‘Eamonn makes me feel sexy. He tells me “You look fantastic, I think you’re really sexy, I fancy you” and that’s great. He definitely boosts my confidence.’
Ruth and Eamonn have been together since 1997 and married for the past decade after tying the knot in 2010. They share 18-year-old son, Jack.

However Ruth also admitted that she does have some insecurities about her body which bother her sometimes.
She added: ‘If I’m honest, do I like my wobbly bits? No I don’t but I accept them. Of course I don’t look in the mirror and say, “I love you cellulite”.
‘I do have a certain degree of confidence in myself but it’s not that high. I still think, “I’m two sizes bigger than I was in my forties”. I’ve got my wobbly bits I don’t like.’
Ruth previously revealed that she would never have married Eamonn if he didn’t want more children.
Eamonn already had three children from his first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes when they met, with Ruth using their second date to find out if he wanted more kids.

The presenter said: ‘I did talk about children really quickly. It was our second date.
‘I didn’t just sit him down and say “Hi, it’s lovely to see you, I’ll have a wine please now – children.” But I kind of engineered the conversation.’
Ruth admitted she would have walked away if they weren’t on the same page about adding to their family.
She said: ‘If he’d have said “No I don’t want any more children”, I’d have totally understood.
‘I would have said, “Do you know what, it’s been lovely but let’s not take this any further because we’re going to break each other’s hearts”.’
It comes amid claims that Eamonn and Ruth have reportedly been told to keep quiet about their axing from This Morning.

According to sources, the presenters have been advised to not address losing their slot on the ITV programme to avoid missing out on more work opportunities.
The hosts – who are being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary -marked their final Friday show last week, and have since expressed their gratitude towards fans for their ‘overwhelming’ support following their demotions.
A source told The Sun: ‘Ruth and Eamonn are obviously upset and feel humiliated about being put out to pasture. But they’ve been advised to keep schtum or risk losing more work. It could damage their brand if they lash out.’

He said in an emotional clip: ‘Hi everyone, just want to say something to you all from the bottom of my heart and that is thank you.
‘Ruth and I have been overwhelmed yesterday and today by the amount of messages and we’ll be replying via social media, by emails, by texts, by Whatsapp, by whatever way we can.
‘But can I just generally say thank you, thank you, thank you,’ the presenter continued. ‘We do feel the love, really appreciate it but stop it, stop it now.
‘It’s Christmas time, Mistletoe and Wine. We’ve all got things to do so thank you, get on with your lives, we certainly intend to get on with ours and look, things are looking up.
‘My sty is nearly gone, the sun is shining and I just want to say to all of you. Have a very merry Christmas and please stay safe. Thank you very, very much all of you.’
