Roxanne Pallett’s panto co-star speaks out amid calls for ‘evil liar’ to be axed

Roxanne Pallett’s Christmas panto co-star Rhydian Roberts has revealed that he’s taken precautions before working with the Celebrity Big Brother star.

The former X Factor star is due to appear with Roxy in Cinderella in Chester this winter.

And her accusations that Ryan Thomas "punched her in the ribs" must be weighing heavy on his mind as he responded to a tweet commenting it was a "shame" he has to work with the suddenly unpopular actresss.

Roxanne has been accused of being a "compulsive liar" and "manipulating" her housemates in the wake of the scandal.

But Welsh singer Rhydian has reassured fans that he’s ready for her.

A concerned fan tweeted: "I really hope they are going to recast her part Shame for the others in the panto like @RhydianMusic that have to work with her!!"

Another added: "If you don’t recast that Evil Liar how do people get their money back?"

A third concerned theatre-goer added: "Please rethink the lineup for your panto. Roxanne will not be well received, and will doubtless accuse a fellow actor of something imaginary. Give the part to someone who deserves it. After her performance in #CBB she could be an ugly sister I suppose?"

And sharing a picture of a harness with a body camera, Rhydian replied: "Thank you for your concern. All is in hand."

The 35-year-old star had been lined up to star in Cinderella at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre this December.

And while theatre bosses are yet to clarify their position, locals have been calling for her to be dropped with a petition launched on change.org.

“No one will pay or want to see. She’s no Cinderella," said one resident.

Another added: “I feel sorry for Chesterfield Theatres. Who would want to watch Cinderella now with Roxanne as a lead role.”

It follows claims by her housemate Jermaine Pennant that the actress will have to forfeit her £75,000 fee for leaving early.

"The thing is if you leave you don’t get your fee," he told the remaining housemates, according to Metro.

And Ricky Martin, star of The Apprentice, called for any money she does receive to be donated to charity.

"Now let’s hope Roxanne doesn’t get paid a penny of her fee & CBB donates all of it to the right charity," he tweeted.

"She conducted herself in such a shameful fashion with zero consideration to the impact to ryanjamesthomas career & every victim of DV."

A spokesperson for CBB declined to comment on her fee.
