Rita Ora said she uses her ‘natural sex appeal’ to her advantage as she revealed she finds showing off her sexuality ’empowering’. 

The Hot Right Now hitmaker, 28, admitted she ‘really relies on being a woman’ because she said females naturally have a lot of sex appeal.

In discussion with Virgin Media’s Xposé, Rita explained she uses make-up and clothes to ensure she has a dramatic impact.

She said:  ‘I think that as a woman we naturally use sex appeal and I feel like that just comes out of our pores whether we see it or not. We are just that kind of creature.

‘I really rely on that, I really rely on being a woman. I make the most of my choices, and even of showing my sexuality because I find it so empowering. 

‘I look at it like beauty and art. I envy the girls that can go out and not wear any make-up and feel comfortable and sexy. For me I like making a dramatic impact, so I like to put on make-up and to decide on how I want to feel that day.’

Her singing career suffered a minor set back in June when she was forced to cancel her performance at Iceland’s Secret Solstice Festival due to a ‘re-occurring chest infection’

The singer posted a string of messages on Twitter telling fans she was ‘heartbroken and disappointed’ to pull out of the music festival under doctor’s orders.

Taking to the social media platform, she wrote: ‘I’m very sad to have to let all those attending the Solstice in Iceland know that I’m not going to be able to headline as planned.

‘I’ve been struggling with a re-occurring chest infection and have been advised by my Doctors to take time out to recover.

‘I was so excited to spend time in Iceland and be part of this festival. I never take any cancellation lightly as I’m always hugely grateful for all the opportunities I have to perform as I love performing.

‘I’m especially disappointed and heartbroken when it means letting down my wonderful fans. I’m so sorry to not be there! I love you all and thank you for your support. I look forward to celebrating Solstice 2020 with you!’
