Rio Ferdinand takes aim at Dejan Lovren over spat with Sergio Ramos

Rio Ferdinand has waded into Dejan Lovren’s spat with Sergio Ramos.

Liverpool centre-back Lovren had a coming together with the Real Madrid star during Croatia’s 3-2 win over Spain in the Nations League on Thursday.

After the match Lovren appeared to suggest he elbowed Ramos on purpose in an Instagram Live video, which has since expired.

In the clip he also reportedly said: "Haha. 3-2. Go ahead and talk now buddy. Buddy! They [Spain] are a bunch of p******."

The defender was then asked on social media whether he ‘did it for Mohamed Salah’. He responded to the comment with a love heart emoji, suggesting this was indeed the case.

The poetscorneruk Instagram page posted three images and a picture to illustrate the issue between Ramos and Lovren on its account on Saturday.

Manchester United legend Ferdinand responded to the post with a comment reading: "You man out here starting needs within the centre back union.

"This ain’t even meant to be an argument… Ramos has too many trophies for Lovren to be coming like this… with all due respect."
