Red Notice has become Netflix’s number one film replacing Bird Box as star Dwayne Johnson says he is ‘stunned and humbled’

Audiences are watching Red Notice making it Netflix’s number one film of all time, and Dwayne Johnson is grateful.

The 49-year-old former WWE wrestler posted a video to Instagram along with a caption touting his new movie’s success. 

In the video, The Rock raises a glass of his tequila Teremana to his followers who have watched the movie and thanks them for their support.

‘Guys, you have turned Red Notice into a true iconic, global and cultural phenomenon,’ he said during his speech. ‘In just 11 days, you have made Red Notice the biggest movie in the history of Netflix. 

‘Like an unstoppable force, you are also making Red Notice the most-watched property in the history of Netflix in film or in television.’

He then raised the toast to his followers before taking a sip and saying, ‘That is good sh*t.’

Millions of hours: As of this past Wednesday, People reported that Red Notice had ben watched for nearly 278 million hours while Bird Box, which starred Sandra Bullock has been watched for an approximated 282 million hour

Red Notice centers around an Interpol agent that chases after a wanted art thief in search of a golden egg once belonging to Cleopatra.

It stars Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. We’re the Millers director Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote and directed the movie.

Last week, Netflix announced the action movie had the ‘biggest opening day’ of any of its movies.  

Ryan Reynolds responded to the news in a tweet writing, ‘WOW #RedNotice is @Netflix biggest ever opening day for a film. Congrats to this whole team! Can’t wait for Red Notice (Taylor’s Version).’

Red Notice is also the most expensive movie Netflix has ever made. It cost the studio $200 million.
