Prosecutors Accuse Bill Cosby Of Trying To Delay His Sentencing

This rotten trick still believes he’s untouchable. Bill Cosby already got a decades long pass on facing any consequences whatsoever for allegedly drugging and assaulting scores of women. It wasn’t until one of those women, Andrea Constand, finally got him convicted of three counts of aggravated indecent assault that The Coz finally got his ass handed to him (God knows nobody else wants those deflated trouser pancakes). Cosby has been chilling at home with his doting wife Camille Cosby at his side, but now that his sentencing hearing is coming right up, he’s digging in his heels and claiming the judge who presided over his retrial was biased against him.

Page Six reports that on Tuesday, Bill’s team asked the judge in his trial to recuse himself because of a long standing perceived bias. This is the second time Cosby & Co have tried to get Justice Steven O’Neill to recuse himself. Last time, in an effort to derail his retrial, they claimed O’Neill was biased because his wife works as an advocate for sexual assault victims, but the Magic 8-Ball came back “my reply is no“. This time Bill’s legal team shook the Magic 8-Ball and it came up “concentrate and ask again” so they are now claiming a long-standing political bias against him and the judge who refused to prosecute him back in 2005.

In the Tuesday filing, defense lawyer Joseph Green argued that O’Neill was incapable of overseeing the sentencing, given that he once ran against former Montgomery County DA Bruce Castor.

Castor — who declined to prosecute Cosby in 2005 — was questioned by O’Neill prior to Cosby’s first trial, and deemed an incredible witness and therefore not permitted to testify at trial

Apparently, O’Neill had plenty of good reasons to disallow Castor to testify. This is one case where being “incredible”, is actually very bad. Prosecutors claim that he went “above and beyond to avoid giving truthful testimony” and that this motion by Cosby & Co is nothing but the latest in an ongoing attempt to “avert a long overdue day of reckoning”, to which the Magic 8-Balls says “without a doubt“.

Judge O’Neill has yet to rule on this latest request but I hope the Magic 8-Ball comes up with a big old “don’t count on it”. Cosby’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 24. Mark your calendars!
