Priyanka Chopra’s engagement went from 0 to 100 in a New York (Mumbai, and Amsterdam) minute. Back in June she was playing all coy, but now that the duo is Instagram official, it’s full-speed ahead on all bridal (fashion) matters.
Chopra, 36, kicked off the festivities with a party at Tiffany & Co. in N.Y.C., as one does. She wore a strapless Marchesa gown for the occasion, complete with a full feather skirt.

And, for the crème de la crème, Chopra and her gals — including future sister-in-law Sophie Turner and Elizabeth Chambers — went out on the town. The ensemble wore red and black, and the Quantico star stunned in yet another obscenely feathered look by Georges Chakra.

So … What’s the future Mrs. Jonas trying to tell us with this abundance of feathers? Our first thought, of course, was that she’s planning to incorporate feathers into her ultimate wedding day look, but judging by the fact that her wedding will take place in India, it’s more than likely that she’ll opt for traditional regional garb (which doesn’t typically include feathers, as far as we know). Perhaps that’s why she’s going so hard on the Americanized bridal looks ahead of the wedding?

Our second (and proudest) theory is that Priyanka is using her bridal fashion as a metaphor for her close bond to fiancé Nick Jonas. You know, birds of a feather flock together … That’s what she’s saying about her and Nick, only instead of saying it she’s just wearing a lot of feathers … ?
