Little by little, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are offering glimpses of their elaborate wedding weekend on social media, and it appears like it isn’t long before we see what went down at the actual ceremony. But first, the bride and groom showed off their creativity in a traditional dance competition, called a Sangeet.
According to E!, the Sangeet, is a musical performance that recreates how the bride and groom first met with intricate choreography, set pieces, and lavish costumes. The couple formed teams, and, of course, the groom chose his brothers Joe and Kevin for a mini Jonas Brothers reunion.

On Sunday, Chopra shared photos and a short video of the performances, which likely took place on Friday evening and went well into the next morning. “It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” the actress captioned her post on Instagram.
“Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together,” she continued, adding: “And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love.”

Chopra reflected on the evening, thanking the couple’s wedding guests for the happy memories. “We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.. #grateful.”
The designer of Chopra’s sparkling sari for the occasion, Abu Rani Sandeep Khosla, described the evening in perhaps the best way. “Millions of fairy lights and mirror installations lit up the Umaid Bhavan grounds to create an enchanted wonderland,” he wrote.
