Prince Harry is said to be “incredibly close” to Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, who has reportedly been a “tower of strength” for the couple.
Meghan’s mother , 63, is said to have been a huge support for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their decision to step back from their senior roles in the royal family.
It’s believed Doria traveled from her home in Los Angeles to Vancouver Island to spend time with the couple during their six-week stay in Canada over Christmas.

The source told The Sun: “Harry obviously doesn’t have a mum whom he can turn to for advice, but he has always been incredibly close to Doria and never more so than now.”
They added: ”Harry has a huge amount of respect for her and for her judgement which is why he and Meghan have both spoken to her throughout about what they planned to do.”
It comes after Harry touched down in Canada to be reunited with Meghan and their son Archie following their royal exit.

Before flying to Canada to rejoin his wife and son, Harry met Prime Minister Boris Johnson and world leaders at the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London, which is likely to be one of his few remaining official engagements.
On Sunday night, Harry gave an emotional speech at an event for his charity Sentebale when he broke his silence for the first time about his and Meghan’s decision to step down.
In his speech, Harry said that the loves the UK but he feels he had “no other option” than to step down from his royal duties, while also paying tribute to his grandmother, the Queen, calling her his “commander and chief”.

He told the room: “Once Meghan and I were married we were excited. We were hopeful and we were here to serve. For those reasons it brings me great sadness that it has come to this.
“The decision that I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly. It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges and I know I haven’t always gotten it right but as far as this goes there really was no other option.”
“What I want to make clear is we’re not walking away and we certainly aren’t walking away from you.
