‘Being civil is my goal’: Pregnant Laura Anderson breaks her silence on ‘upsetting’ split from Gary Lucy and details how she will navigate life as a single mum
Pregnant Laura Anderson has broken her silence on her split from ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Gary Lucy.
In a new interview with OK!, the star, 34, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2018, detailed how she is planning life to a single mum to her baby girl, arriving in August.
Laura and the Hollyoaks actor, 41, announced they were expecting in February and split shortly afterwards – after which she remained tight-lipped.
Now however, the blonde beauty has revealed there are many reasons behind the split, many of which she branded ‘upsetting’, yet admitted she is now determined to find a way to be civil with Gary for the sake of their little girl.
She said: ‘We have had times of it being civil and then it’s not… There are a lot of emotions going around for everyone, so it’s difficult. Being able to be civil from now until the birth and then after is my goal.’

On what has been revealed since the split, she said: ‘For me, a lot has come to light since we parted ways, which has been quite upsetting.’
Following their break-up Gary alleged that the reason the couple had gone their separate ways was due to the fact he wouldn’t move to her native Scotland as he has four kids with his ex-wife Natasha Gray.
She hit back: ‘That’s not true. I was always moving to Essex.’
When asked why their relationship ended, she quipped: ‘How long have you got? It’s really hard to explain. I wanted us to reconcile and I wanted things to work out…
‘But because of things I found out since then, and the fact nothing has been discussed or resolved, I think for now I’m trying to just be positive and think about the baby and be strong, because everything became too chaotic.’

Her chat with the publication comes after Laura excitedly shared photos of her baby girl from her 4D ultrasound. The reality star shared an up close picture of her bundle of joy to her 1.5million Instagram followers as well.
She wrote: ‘Swipe for a sleepy 4D bub. Thanks to @bumptobabyscotland for my amazing scan and heartbeat.
‘Gayle and the team have created such a personalised and special experience every time I can’t thank you enough. Ps she doesn’t have my nose #gutted’.
