Peter Andre has defended his friend Jeremy Kyle – and slammed ITV, claiming the network failed to "protect" Jeremy when his show was taken off air back in 2019.
Writing in his weekly OK! column, that star also shares his condolences following the death of Sarah Harding and praises footballer Marcus Rashford for holding the government to account.

Jeremy Kyle was made a scapegoat
My friend Jeremy Kyle has opened up about how he was at his “lowest ebb” after his show was cancelled following the ongoing investigation into the programme. I really didn’t like the way he was personally attacked and blamed at the time, so it’s not surprising he struggled.
In my opinion, the network should have protected him as he was made a scapegoat when one of his past guests allegedly took his own life. There are other shows like Love Island who have lost people and the show is still on air. Jeremy is an amazing presenter and it’s great to see him doing so well and landing a new radio show.
The kids are back at school!
Princess has moved into year 10 and both Millie and Theo have started back, with Theo’s first day at big school. Junior has started drama college and he’s absolutely loving it. It’s the first time ever that he’s come home and said: “I can’t wait to go back tomorrow."
With school he’d be like, “It’s so long,” whereas now he gets up early and is excited to go. It’s nice to see him doing something he’s passionate about. It’s been a full-on few weeks with Grease and festivals but I feel blessed.
We’re also having a bit of a tough time at the moment with Theo as he keeps waking up in the night and crying for us. We’re all shattered and it’s tough for Ems with her work in the day and when I have double shows with Grease. I do wonder if it’s because he was about to start a new school. I’ll keep you posted.
'Hero' Marcus Rashford
Footballer Marcus Rashford has relaunched his campaign to end child hunger in the UK after figures showed that one in six families experienced food insecurity in the last six months.
Marcus is an unbelievable human and such a hero, especially the way he dealt with the disgusting racism he endured after the Euros. He does all this because he cares but it shouldn’t be his responsibility. Hopefully the Government can improve things and we’ll see the number of children going hungry decreasing.
Happy Anniversary!
My parents recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. It’s very rare you hear people being married for that long nowadays – 70 years of marriage is a huge achievement and they’re only four years off that. I aspire to be married as long as they’ve been, as they are the definition of couple goals!
My mum isn’t very well and it does make me sad as I know time is ticking on and I need to get to Australia. It’s been playing on my mind quite a bit. I’m double vaccinated and I just want to be able to get out there, but the Australian Government hasn’t given a clear indication of when that can happen.
RIP Sarah
It was absolutely devastating to hear that Sarah Harding has passed away. I’ve known Sarah for years and I remember we had a really good chat a couple of years back before her diagnosis.
She seemed in such a good place and it breaks my heart that she’s no longer here. It also made me so sad to hear she’d always wanted to be a mum and never got the chance to do that. She was a ray of light and always smiling so I’m heartbroken for her and her family that her light went out too soon.
