Peter Andre fans call star ‘cruel’ as he plays with live crab which bites him

Peter Andre was in hot water as he was branded "cruel" for playing with a live crab which then bit him.

All week the singer, 46,has been posting sweet pictures from his recent holiday to Australia on which he took his two eldest children Junior, 14 and Princess, 12.

The sun-drenched getaway was a chance for the Mysterious Girl hitmaker and the kids, who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price , to spend time with his parents Thea and Savvas who live Down Under.

His latest post from the trip caused a stir as fans were left unimpressed by his antics.

In the video footage, Pete was left with wounds after he was bitten by a white live crab he could be seen holding.

As he held it by its long pincers and moved around to show it off, a small patch of blood could be seen on his thumb.

One of his kids asked: "Did it bite you?"

Pete responded: "Yes, it's got me on the inside." He then showed off the wounds on his hand.

Many of his fans were left uncomfortable watching the clip on his Instagram , even though it was obvious Pete had no intention of hurting the crab.

"What an idiot you are messing about with a living creature like that, with no regard for the pain and stress it will undoubtedly be feeling," one fan wrote.

Others added: "Your profile says “be kind”. So be kind to the crab and don’t harm it. Simple."

"Would you want to be held like that- cruel for a photo op #shameful."

It comes as Peter expressed bigger fears recently his wife Emily MacDonagh could catch coronavirus.

The Mysterious Girl singer said he started worrying about Emily, who is a doctor, when he went to the airport and saw customs officers wearing masks.

As of Monday afternoon, 4,501 people in total have now been tested for coronavirus in the UK, of which nine have come back positive.

Pete said he's convinced it's "more serious than we've been led to believe".

Writing in his new! magazine column , he said: "I was at an airport last week and all the customs officers were wearing masks. It really alarmed me.
