Pete Davidson Apologizes to Dan Crenshaw on ‘SNL,’ Lets Crenshaw Diss Him on TV! (Video)

Pete Davidson appeared on Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Update on Saturday (November 10) to apologize to Congressman-elect Dan Crenshaw.

On last week’s episode, Pete made fun of Crenshaw for wearing an eye patch to cover his missing eye, which he lost during a tour in Afghanistan.

“In what I’m sure was a huge shock for people who know me, I made a poor choice last week,” Pete started off his apology. “I made a joke about Lieutenant Commander Dan Crenshaw and on behalf of the show and myself, I apologize.”

“I mean this from the bottom of my heart, it was a poor choice of words. The man is a war hero and he deserves all the respect in the world and if any good came from this, maybe it’s that for one day, the left and the right finally came together and agreed on something… that I’m a d–k,” he added.

Dan then popped up next to Pete and the comedian apologized again. When Dan said that they were all good, his phone started ringing and played Ariana Grande‘s song “Breathin.” Dan jokingly asked, “Do you know her?”

Pete then gave Dan the chance to make fun of a photo of him and Dan said, “This is Pete Davidson. He looks like if the meth from Breaking Bad is a person. He looks like a troll doll with a tapeworm. Pete looks like Martin Short in The Santa Clause 3. By the way, one of these guys is actually good on SNL.”

In a touching ending to the segment, Dan opened up about bringing the country together on Veterans’ Day weekend and encouraged people to “tell a veteran ‘never forget.’”
