The A Star is Born producer – whose union with Anderson was never legal due to paperwork not being filed, added: ‘And she doesn’t even know that. Nobody knows that. I’m just saying it for the first time with you.

‘I probably shouldn’t be saying it. So that’s for her, whether she needs it or not.’

Towards the end of their marriage, Tommy had been arrested due to ‘spousal abuse’ and served six months in a Los Angeles County Jail in 1998. She recalled the incident that had made her call the police, explaining that the drummer had ‘twisted her arm’ while she was holding their son Dylan.

‘Tommy ripped Brandon off me and threw me and Dylan into a wall,’ she penned in the memoir, adding that, ‘Our hell began.’

The split came almost a year after DailyMail.com broke the news that Anderson had made it official with her bodyguard after the two fell in love at the beginning of the 2020 coronavirus lockdown.

The pair tied the knot in an intimate Christmas Eve ceremony on the grounds of Anderson’s home on Vancouver Island, Canada.

But an insider told the magazine ‘Pamela loves as authentically as she lives,’ and that the ‘pandemic whirlwind’ romance had run its course.

‘I think it’s hard to play somebody when you don’t know the whole picture. I’ve got nothing against Lily James. I think that she’s a beautiful girl and she was just doing the job. But the idea of the whole thing happening was just really crushing for me.’
