On Good Morning America, Ariana Grande Talks About the Timing for her Wedding, her Evolving Sound and her New Album

This morning, ABC’s Good Morning America broadcast it’s interview with Ariana Grande. Michael Strahan sat down with Ariana in the recording studio and asked questions about her love life and her latest music. At the very beginning of the interview, Ariana insisted that she’s now living “her best life” and that’s in part related to finding her “soul mate,” Pete Davidson.

However, when Michael asked, ‘so when’s the wedding,’ Ariana didn’t want to respond with specific details but did offer a little insight into her thoughts:

When am I getting married? … We’re going to take out time to plan it. We’ve been like planning, my friends and I, my mom, and everybody … I work so much I’ve never, like, spent this much time or energy planning something personal, that feeds my soul so much and my heart – I want to cry, I’m so excited – its sick. It’s really fun. But it’s not “soon-soon.” It’ll be like, next year.

Ariana also spoke about wanting her new sound to incorporate more R&B influences. And she discussed how she hoped to honor the victims of the Manchester Arena Bombing with a special gesture on one track from her new album, Sweetener.
