‘I’m forever grateful,’ the four-time Golden Globe winner captioned a series of snaps on set, which included Grant, Donald Sutherland, Noah Jupe, Édgar Ramírez, Lily Rabe, Matilda De Angelis, Ismael Cruz Córdova and more.

She continued: ‘They poured their hearts and souls into our show and it showed throughout the entire season. Greatly looking forward to working with all of you again xx.’

In the first shot, she wore a light green dress and stood side-by-side with Ramírez, who played Detective Joe Mendoza on the six-part psychological thriller miniseries.

Sporting the same dress, which appeared on the tense final episode, Kidman also posed with Grant on the Rondout Creek (Wurts Street) Bridge, where his character Jonathan nearly jumps off.

While the pair were all smiles as they chatted between scenes, this location was the backdrop where the duo’s on-screen son Henry begged his dad not to kill himself, before cops successfully closed in on Jonathan for the murder of Elena Alves.

The 15-year-old British actor, who played the estranged on-screen couple’s son, also made an appearance on Kidman’s Instagram, as he sulked on a window nook.

Like Jupe, the Australian-American star looked melancholy as they reflected on the events that turned their characters’ lives upside down in the popular adaptation of Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel, You Should Have Known.

On Sunday, American viewers watched in suspense as Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant) was unmasked as the killer of Elena Alves.

In what some Twitter users described as a ‘not-so-shocking twist,’ celebrities from Kelly Ripa to Kerry Washington voiced their reactions.

‘I am undone,’ the 43-year-old Scandal star tweeted, while Ripa declared she was ‘shooketh’ in a series of photos detailing her utter surprise on her Instagram story.

Throughout the series many claimed it would be ‘too obvious’ for Jonathan to be the killer, and spent time theorizing about who else may have committed the crime.

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay surmised: ‘My theory about #TheUndoing was entirely incorrect. But no matter! ‘Twas a fun, twisty long-watch written by David E. Kelley. Splashy perfs by top-notch actors who to go swing for the fences.’

She continued: ‘Directed expertly by Madame Susanne Bier. A good time. Applause for the cast and crew!’

Kidman recently admitted that a lifetime of playing such intensely dark and layered characters has ‘taken a toll’ on her.

Speaking to Sunrise in October, Nicole said she relied on husband Keith Urban daughters, Sunday, 12, and Faith, nine, to help ‘bring her back to reality’ after her emotionally ‘taxing’ days on set.
