Nick Young — yes, the NBA star who very controversially used to date Iggy Azalea back in the day — was arrested on Friday night in Los Angeles at a traffic stop gone wrong just before midnight.
Sources say Young was driving in Hollywood late last night when the LAPD pulled over the Golden State Warriors (and former Los Angeles Lakers) star… and things went south quickly.
Law enforcement sources say the 33-year-old hoop star refused to cooperate with cops, and so they yanked him out of his vehicle and put him under arrest for obstruction of justice.
He was booked at a police station in Hollywood, and his vehicle was impounded; no word on specific charges, bail/bond, etc. quite yet. There appears to be video of the event floating around on the web; you can see what appears to be a short clip of the arrest itself HERE.
We’ll update this with more if we hear it — seems fairly minor so far. Young has had at least one other very, very minor issue with cops, when he was cited a couple years ago for loud music.
