Nadia Essex has revealed that her son Ezekiel, 13 months, was rushed to hospital on Wednesday with a viral infection.

The mum-of-one, who recently said she wants to lose weight for her baby boy, took to Instagram to tell her followers what was going on.

As she sat in a taxi on the way home, the 39 year old said: "He is okay. He has got a viral infection. So, just lots of cuddles and Calpol. Doctor's orders."

The reality star also took the opportunity to thank her fans for all of the supportive messages she and Ezekiel had been sent and attempted to be hopeful about her son's health.

However, the worried mother later took to her stories once again to share her concern as she was unable to settle Ezekiel.

She admitted: "I feel like I'm missing the magic key to help settle him because I'm tired and alone.

"He's been to sleep for like 20 minutes and he's probably going to wake up in an hour. Literally, is the best thing for me to do cuddle him?," Nadia asked.

"I'm giving him Calpol and paracetamol as per the doctor's orders but he's still got a temperature and he's still properly crying.

"I feel like I've got brain fog and there might be a magic trick I'm missing because I'm too dumb to realise and it's staring me in the face," she continued.

The former Celebs Go Dating star's worry comes after she recently exclusively opened up to OK! online about how she found motherhood throughout the various lockdowns.

Nadia explained: "Looking back, the first lockdown was probably the easiest of all the lockdowns because I'd just had a baby and I was kind of in the baby bubble.

"The first lockdown didn't really affect me because I wasn't really going to go anywhere anyway. I'd just had an emergency C-section.

"Scroll forward a year, this lockdown has been a lot harder because he's now one and he's walking and he wants to go and play.

"And there's nothing open for him to go and amuse himself with."

The dating expert, who previously addressed a live video which left her fans concerned, went on to say that because of restrictions, Ezekiel wasn't exposed to other children.

"We've never been to any baby classes. We've never been to any baby groups or anything like that, never had proper playdates," the blonde beauty divulged.

"I'm kind of really really looking forward to everything opening up again because I really just want to catch up on all the fun things we've missed."
