Moonlighting star Cybill Shepherd, 72, cuts a casual figure while stepping out for a walk with her dogs in LA

Cybill Shepherd stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday to walk her dogs with a friend.

The Hollywood legend, who got her start in showbusiness 50 years ago and working with Bruce Willis on the TV show Moonlighting, was seen rocking black slacks.

Her outing comes months after she dropped out of the Showtime show I Love This For You.

Cybill donned black slacks with a T-shirt, adding a sweater she wore half on and half off.

She sported sunglasses and held a walking cane as well as her adorable pup’s leash.

Her friend had two small pups with him; he also rocked a casual look of jeans and a zip up hoodie.

Cybill stopped and drank some water before resuming their walk.

In 2020, Cybill was announced as the star in the pilot I Love This For You but in July 2021 she had left the project. 

However after the pilot there were changes made to the character’s trajectory for the overall series, insiders told The Hollywood Reporter.

After those alterations took place Cybill departed the show and was replaced by Black-ish actress Jenifer Lewis.

In 1971, Cybill made her breakthrough with The Last Picture Show, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, who became her mentor.

The two carried on an affair despite the fact he was still married to his collaborator Polly Platt; he eventually left his wife for Cybill.

During the 1970s, the star made memorable films with other directors as well, including The Heartbreak Kid with Elaine May and Taxi Driver with Martin Scorsese.

By the early 1980s her career was in decline – until the silver screen siren embarked on a whole new phase of stardom on TV. 

In 1985, she and Bruce Willis played detectives on the dramedy series Moonlighting, the project that made him famous.

She starred on the shows for five seasons as Madelyn ‘Maddie’ Hayes.

In the 1990s, she had a successful sitcom called Cybill; the series, created by Chuck Lorre also starred Christine Baranski and Tom Wopat. 

She played Cybill Sheridan for four seasons.

 The star has three children: daughter Clementine Ford, 42, with David M. Ford, whom she was married to from 1978 to 1982.

She has twins Cyrus Zachariah and Molly Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim, 34, with ex husband Bruce Oppenheim; they were married from 1987 to 1990.
