Martha Conley, whom Nicole Kidman portrays as Nancy in “Boy Erased,” told us, “Nicole got it right — they all did.”
The film’s based on a memoir by her son Garrard Conley about his time in conversion therapy, and how she pulled him out.
At the premiere, director Joel Edgerton said he hopes parents will see the film “as a road map to how they might be able to make better decisions.”
