Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis’s Sweet Friendship Took Center Stage at the Oscars

“Everything Everywhere All at Once”‘s Oscar-winning stars made the most of their big night out for Hollywood’s most-anticipated awards show. Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh, who won best supporting actress and best actress at the 2023 Oscars, respectively, were spotted being supportive as ever during the show and were snapped hugging during each other’s, and the movie’s wins. The multiverse film ultimately took home seven Oscars total. After both of their individual victories, they were also photographed embracing backstage before posing for photos together with their trophies. The sweet images are the culmination of adorable BFF moments between Curtis and Yeoh throughout this awards season.

In “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” which won best picture, Yeoh plays Evelyn, a woman whose quest to settle discrepancies with the IRS (via Curtis’s Deidre) leads her through multiple universes and has her fighting for her life. Their costar Ke Huy Quan also won best supporting actor for his role as Waymond and Alpha Waymond in the film. All three were first-time nominees.

The dynamic duo have not been shy about their affection for each other, with Curtis even crediting Yeoh for her Oscar nomination. The actor told Variety in a February interview, “Michelle Yeoh is the reason that for the rest of my life, you will say, ‘Oscar-nominated actress Jamie Lee Curtis.'” When Curtis won her award, she said it was for every member of the cast and crew, and thanked Yeoh, Quan, and fellow best supporting actress Stephanie Hsu, who plays Joy. Yeoh also thanked her costars and the crew when she won.
Curtis was in attendance at the event with her husband, actor and director Christopher Guest. Yeoh brought along her long-time partner, Jean Todt.
