Michael Bublé announces first tour since son’s cancer diagnosis

Michael Bublé gave fans an early holiday treat Thursday, announcing his forthcoming tour for 2019.

Kicking off Feb. 13 in Tampa, Fla., the “Haven’t Met You Yet” crooner will wrap the U.S. leg of the tour on April 6 in Tacoma, Washington, before heading to Vancouver, Canada, on April 12. Following an early summer break between May and June, he’ll hit the stage again July 26 in Toronto, Ontario, before the final show on August 3 in Quebec.

Bublé, 43, will also receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Nov. 16, the same day his 10th studio album, “Love,” is set to be released.

Bublé is focused on the future ahead, following son Noah’s cancer diagnosis in 2016.

“The diagnosis made me realize how stupid I’d been to worry about these unimportant things. I was embarrassed by my ego, that it had allowed this insecurity,” the singer said in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

Despite rumors of Bublé putting down the mic for good, he’s got plenty left to sing.

“There are three reasons I wanted to do this album,” he said of “Love.” “One, because I felt a debt of gratitude, deeper than I can explain, to the millions of people all over the world who prayed for us and showed us compassion. That gave me faith in humanity.”

He continued, “Two, because I love music and feel I can continue the legacy of my idols. And three, because if the world was ending – not just my own personal hell but watching the political turmoil in America and watching Europe break up – there’s never a better time for music.”
