Meghan Markle’s nephew cashes in on her fame after joining new reality show

Meghan Markle’s nephew has landed himself a place on a new MTV reality show titled The Royal World.

Cashing in on the Duchess of Sussex’s royal fame, Tyler Dooley will be joining a cast that will feature young royal and aristocrats from around the world, including a baroness and the son of a Nigerian chief, as they all room together in a countryside mansion in the UK.

Tyler, who has a licence to legally grow cannabis, is the youngest son of Thomas Markle Jnr, 51, the Duchess of Sussex’s half-brother, and lives in the US state of Oregon, where marijuana is legal.

The six-episode series promises "an original format that invites viewers inside the exclusive, unfiltered lives of young royals and aristocrats from around the globe as their worlds collide in a British countryside mansion."

"I think I represent more of the average person that could be watching this show," Tyler said in a teaser for the show that’s due to air next month.

"I would say we had kind of humble beginnings," he said of his childhood, "more of a trial and error, that includes Meghan."

He also admitted he didn’t watch the Royal Wedding in May (he wasn’t invited), but did travel to London "to support my Aunt Meghan. Honestly with the controversy that’s happened with my family, all I wanted to do was just show my support."

Tyler had travelled to London with his mum and brother after Good Morning hired them as "special correspondents".

However, they did not appear on TV and the trip ended in disaster after the ceremony when, it is claimed, Tyler tried to get into a London nightclub while carrying a four-inch blade. Bouncers called 999 and Tyler fled after other clubbers told him he would be arrested.

He reportedly told another partygoer: “I just brought it because Donald Trump said London was like a war zone… for protection.”

Meanwhile, a source previously told the Sunday Mirror: “Producers are fascinated by Tyler and his family, and how different their lives are from Meghan’s.

“They think viewers will love him and the rest of the Dooleys, and become gripped by their soap opera lives.

“Tyler is really looking forward to it and sees it as great advertising for his marijuana business.”

Tyler boasts of being “a pioneer” and named his cannabis firm Royally Grown.

He runs it with his mum and this year unveiled an “extremely potent” strain of marijuana called Markle’s Sparkle – retailing for £206 an ounce.
