Meghan Markle is due in just a few weeks, according to an announcement made back in October, and throughout her whole pregnancy, she’s been absolutely owning maternity style. I mean, that Dior cape dress was the definition of the flames emoji. She’s worn everything from formal gowns to blazers, but her latest outfit was inspired by Sixteen Candles and Prince Harry.
While shopping at a wellness store in London, Meghan wore jeans, a T-shirt that said “Jake Ryan” under an illustration of him next to his red car, and a jacket that looks similar to her favorite J. Crew one but is actually Harry’s.
As Marie Claire noted, the green army-style jacket Meghan used to layer up was one Harry wore back in 2015. Basically, Meghan’s doing the equivalent of borrowing her man’s hoodie, but it’s a lot classier and royal-like because it’s a parka. Talk about royal couple goals, amirite?
As it turns out, Meghan has done this before because she clearly knows the only thing better than one closet is two. Meghan wore Harry’s black puffer jacket when they toured the South Pacific in November. Remember those cute photos the palace shared of Meghan among the giant trees? That was Harry’s jacket she was wearing.
It’s not totally clear what Meghan and Harry bought at the wellness shop, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they were stocking up on things for the baby and Harry’s newfound health-nut lifestyle. While Meghan and Harry are staying in Kensington Palace, their cottage in Windsor is being renovated and outfitted with a home-monitoring system controlled by a smartphone and a gender-neutral nursery.
