Matt Damon & Pete Davidson Rule The ‘Saturday Night Live’ Season Premiere — Watch The Highlights

Saturday Night Live started at an 11 and then took it to a 15 real quick — all thanks to a hilarious Matt Damon cameo and non-stop references to Pete Davidson’s engagement to Ariana Grande!

The 44th season premiere episode kicked off with Damon playing a hot-headed Brett Kavanaugh in a sketch (above) re-enacting Thursday’s heated Senate Judiciary hearing. Throughout the sketch, Damon’s Kavanaugh chugs water, screams, shows off his “beautiful, creepy calendars,” and claims the allegations made against him were a “con job” orchestrated by Kathy Griffin and “Mr. Ronan Sinatra.” Ha!

But as many expected, the season premiere then basically turned into The Pete Davidson Show. The newly engaged comedian first popped up during host Adam Driver’s opening monologue and subtly acknowledged how *lit* his summer was by winking to the camera.

Pete spoke more openly about his relationship with Ari during Weekend Update, where he joked to Colin Jost about wanting a prenup and switching her birth control with tic tacs. LOL?

Other SNL cast members wanted in on the Pete-mania, too. Kyle Mooney had a hilarious sketch where he underwent a transformation to look exactly like the 24-year-old — he even bagged a “hot” celebrity girlfriend, Wendy Williams!

The episode also included multiple Kanye West performances, one of which was a new song with Teyana Taylor. Ch-ch-check out all the highlights from SNL’s premiere (below).
