Mark Zuckerberg and his 38-year-old wife Priscilla have welcomed their third child together.

Mark – who laid off 10,000 Meta employees earlier this month – is seen beaming at the swaddled baby and his wife is seen in a second image holding Aurelia on her chest while still in her hospital bed.

They already have daughters Maxima, seven, born in December 2015, and August, five, born in August 2017.

In January he said he was looking forward to a new baby in the house.

The Meta founder captioned the image: ‘Happy New Year! Here’s to all of the adventures and love coming in 2023.’

Zuckerberg wore a tuxedo and has one hand rested on his wife’s pregnant stomach.

He first announced his wife was expecting their third baby in September.

‘Lots of love. Happy to share that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year,’ he wrote, alongside a different photo in which he also placed his hand on his wife’s stomach.

Zuckerberg and his wife, a philanthropist and a former pediatrician met in the line for the bathroom at a party they were both attending as Harvard students in 2003.

They soon began dating and got married nine years later in 2012, just a day after Facebook was taken public, and held an intimate ceremony in their backyard.

The first two: This is their third child as they already have daughters Maxima, seven, born in December 2015, and August, five, born in August 2017

After the birth of their first daughter, the couple announced in a public letter that most of their money would be given to charity as opposed to their children.

Zuckerberg and Chan started the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative together, an organization dedicated to ‘personalized learning, curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities,’ and said that ’99 percent of their Facebook shares’ would go towards that cause.

During a 2019 interview with Gayle King, Zuckerberg spoke about keeping his children humble despite the family’s fortune.

‘How do you raise children when you can really give them anything, materially, to be grounded?’ King asked, to which the Facebook founder replied, ‘Well I think, first of all, we don’t give them everything.

The billionaire (seen with his wife after the birth of their daughter, Max) has seen his fortune steadily slip away since he launched Meta, Facebook’s parent company, in October 2021

‘That’s an important piece, but they also just have responsibilities.’

Chan added: ‘They have chores, they have responsibilities. We also take them to work. Mark and I take both of them to the office to see what we do, how we contribute.’

He also revealed on Lex Fridman’s podcast that he sits down with his daughters every night before bed to discuss the things that he feels ‘are most important in life,’ including taking care of yourself and your health, valuing your friends and family, and achieving your future goals.

Chan told The Times that she and her husband split their parenting duties. She gets them ready in the morning and Zuckerberg handles them before bed.

She also mentioned that August has been ‘coding’ with her father since she ‘turned three.’
