Madonna quotes painter Frida Kahlo as she says she is her ‘own muse’ while sipping red wine… after blasting her haters

Madonna has revealed her new source of inspiration: herself. 

The Dress You Up singer posted a series of Instagram photos in which she is dressed up in an oversized distressed leather coat, a leather biker cap, a lime green and black mesh top, and jeans with ankle boots. 

The 63-year-old performer sported dark roots and had her long blonde hair straightened as she was heavily made up with mauve lipstick.

In her post, the Grammy award winner quoted Mexican painter Frida Kahlo who famously said, ‘I am my own Muse. I am the subject I want to Know Better.’

Among her many accomplishments, the ground-breaking Kahlo was known for her self-portraits.

The Superstar singer tagged Levi’s and artist Richard Prince, whose original ‘hippy’ designs are embroidered onto her jeans.

Madonna also tagged Katz and Dogg, a cannabis company which features Prince’s art on its packaging. 

For her relaxant of choice, the hitmaker chose a glass of red wine. 

Madonna has 17.6million followers and the post received  more than 90 thousand likes.

As a fashion icon, the Borderline singer has always been willing to make bold choices and make bold statements.

She does both with her latest ensemble.

This shot comes just days after fans posted their comments about the Don’t Tell Me vocalist voiced their concerns about her apparent use of filters in her photos.

Many repeated their pleas to see the ‘real’ Madonna in this latest post. One follower asked, ‘Can we get some non-facetuned pics? Please.’ Another wrote ‘This is getting ridiculous.’

The artist responded by sharing: ‘Don’t f**k with me!’ She added, ‘I’m sure I don’t have stupid written across my forehead.’

The mother of six has returned to the movie business for her latest project, co-writing and directing a movie about her life. Auditions are reportedly underway.
