Love Island’s Michael Griffiths and Ellie Brown struck up a romance when they both starred on Celebrity Ex On The Beach, but they have since split.
Michael and Ellie, who starred on different seasons of the hit ITV2 dating show, joined Raj & Pilar on The Reality Tea where the pair finally came clean on their relationship.
The stars admitted that they were in a relationship which began on Ex On The Beach, but they have since broken up, with Ellie now unfollowing Michael on Instagram.

On why they broke up, Ellie said: “It's such a tough one, I don't even think we really understand it. I think it's more just that we hit the nail on the head before. Like you always said, you never go beyond that point because you didn't want me to get feelings or whatever and then I think when it did go beyond that point, that's when it got a bit messy. And it was kind of just like it had to be left."
Michael agreed saying: “Yeah. It had to be left.”
The pair got together on Celeb Ex On The Beach and Ellie said: “Obviously Michael had been through the experience that he had been through with Love Island so he was a little bit sensitive and he was so scared to go through what he went through again, so we all became quite protective of him quite quick.
"When we got to know him we realised ‘oh my god, you’re really nice’ and understood situations that didn’t look right on the TV. And we could see how much he was hurting and we all got quite protective over him.
"So the first week, he wasn’t being himself and we could see that, and it was kind of like because I was the person obviously the series before Michael and I’d been through it all like, press and break ups and whatever.
"It was kind of like we’d have chats and stuff and he’s actually seeing someone before me in there (the Ex On The Beach villa). And then obviously Charlie comes in, so it’s about 3 weeks before anything happens between us. It was the final week, wasn’t it?
"And we kind of just like got closer through being best mates in there. It was like it weren’t supposed to happen. And then we are together on the last week, but it wasn’t supposed to happen. But it’s quite cute to watch.”
On the podcast, Michael revealed that Ellie now “hates him” and explained why the relationship came to an end a few months after it started.
He said: “Right so I'll explain it from my my point. So from the get go, I said to Ellie that I didn't want anything to kind of progress any way because I thought that I would hurt her.|"

Ellie added: “Yeah, when we left the villa we said we weren’t in a relationship. That was always like set in stone.
And Michael went on to say: “So was I. I don't want it to go anywhere because I know I’m gonna hurt you. And I don't want to lose the friendship that I've got with you because Iike, I adore Elllie, like I do.”
