She hasn’t seen Dr Alex since he “pied” her on Love Island – but Alexandra Crane said there was no hard feelings as she bumped into her “ex” at the Pride of Britain Awards.
Viewers will remember how Dr Alex George tried to blame Alexandra Crane for his cruel decision of dumping her, denying her a chance of winning the £50,000 cash prize.
Reflecting on her time in the Casa Amor last night, she said: “It was tough, it’s a very intense environment when you’re with those people 24 hours a day you can’t run away from it. You have to confront everything that’s happening to you.
"It was tough but I learned a lot about myself and I don’t regret any of it as it was such a good opportunity.”
She then added: “I just bumped into Alex outside. It was just like, comical timing as we’re both [dressed] in blue so I said ‘Oh, I see we’re matching for once again!’”
But it’s all water under the bridge as she said: “But it was good to see him and I can’t wait to see everyone and catch up with them.”
The sunburnt A&E staffer’s behaviour raised eyebrows among viewers at home, when he dumped the beautiful makeup artist after they spent an afternoon together pootling around in a red Ferrari.
Alexandra was shocked when they returned to the villa only for Dr Alex to inform her it wasn’t working out – despite him previously saving her from being dumped by recoupling with her.
She was upset at him for his hot-and-cold feelings towards her, which Dr Alex thought was unfair.
At the time, she said: “I just feel like I’ve been lied to. Maybe you guys think differently, but I’ve given chances, and I’ve tried to be understanding. I just feel like I’m not having that reciprocated and it’s not fair."
He responded at the time: "She’s beautiful, she’s really nice, she’s funny, she’s got everything. It’s not my fault. You can’t make that feeling, you can’t force that.”
