It looks like tensions will be flying high again in the Love Island villa on Wednesday night’s show as Lucie Donlan appears to have set her sights on Molly-Mae Hague’s man Tommy Fury.

In a teaser released on the show’s website, Lucie, 21, who chose Joe Garratt, 22, over Tommy, 20, at the start of the series, might be changing her mind.

Talking to Maura Higgins, 28, she discussed how in the past, her male friends have turned into boyfriends.

Love Island SPOILER: Emotions run high on Wednesday as Lucie refuses to rule out a romance with Tommy

She said: ‘It’s just mad because I’ve had friends as guys and at stages, I have actually ended up dating them at the end.’

Discussing Tommy, Maura asked her: ‘Would it ever happen?’

Looking pensive, Lucie replied: ‘I don’t know,’ and as Maura quizzed: ‘Never say never?’ she agreed and said: ‘We can say that. Obviously we get on.’

In the Beach Hut, Lucie elaborates: ‘Obviously I went on a date with him so I was considering it back then so I mean, you can never really say never.

Not happy: Molly-Mae discovers viewers think she’s using Tommy for ‘fame and money’ and that he would be better suited to Lucie

Now this is awkward: During a game of ‘online buzz challenge’ it transpired that the public believe Molly-Mae is with Tommy for the £50k prize fund

‘Sometimes when you’re best friends with guys, sometimes you end up together so I’m never going to say ‘No.’

Her words come after some of the public’s tweets were revealed in a game called ‘online buzz challenge.’

One tweet read: ‘Tommy and Lucie are meant to be,’ leading to raised eyebrows among the Islanders.

Eek! Lucie had been torn between Joe (pictured) and Tommy at the start of the series – she chose Joe but he was eliminated – he had questioned her close friendship with Tommy

Going for it: Other viewers believe Tommy would be way better suited to Lucie than Molly-Mae

Hilarious: Lucie appeared to find the task hilarious despite being amidst the drama

Molly-Mae took the comments to heart, admitting to Tommy that she was jealous of Lucie.

She told him: ‘I am the sort of person to get jealous over situations. You do spend a lot of time together. I just feel like she does try to get quite close to you.’

Joe had also questioned Lucie’s relationship with Tommy, saying that they were the talk of the villa, before he left.’

Trouble ahead: The Islanders all played the game which was intended to challenge the couples further

Later, Tommy takes Lucie to the fire pit to discuss the perception that they are ‘meant to be.’

He tells Lucie: ‘I do really genuinely like Molly-Mae, she hasn’t got a problem with us hanging out and being a friendship but there are boundaries and there is a line…

‘She is the jealous type, she has stated that to me but she’s not jealous in a way because there is nothing going on here and we are strictly friends and everybody knows that.’

Nail-biting drama! It all appeared a bit tense when it was revealed a viewer thought Tommy and Lucie were meant to be

Are you joking? At first, Tommy and Molly-Mae laughed the situation off

Uh oh! However things soon took an awkward turn when Lucie admitted she wouldn’t rule out a romance

Lucie says: ‘I get that and that’s why I’ve kept my distance… I can see you both happy so I’m glad it actually worked.’

Meanwhile, Molly-Mae tells Amy how she feels about the suggestion that Lucie and Tommy are ‘meant to be’ when she is coupled up with the boxer.

Molly-Mae says: ‘Obviously I don’t think there is an issue, I don’t think there’s anything I need to be worried about but at the same time they are very close and if it’s coming across to people that they are meant to be.

Be honest! Curtis later pulls Molly-Mae for a chat about everything and warns her to be truthful to Tommy, because he believes the boxer is falling for her

Curtis says: ‘What’s come up in the challenge is unexpected. I felt, ever since the start, you came in and you were going between three guys so you could understand why people felt [that] because I thought you were as well…

‘I don’t want it to be coming across like I’m being mugged off right in front of my eyes or that they look like they’re flirting.’

In a further blow, another tweet said: ‘Nah, Tommy deserves more than Molly-Mae. She doesn’t like him. She likes £50k.’

Molly-Mae said: ‘What am I meant to say? I’m a bit speechless to be honest.’

The truth will out: But Molly-Mae soon took to the beach hut to admit she was feeling jealous

Maura tried to reassure her and said: ‘If everyone likes you just be f***ing weird.’

Molly-Mae replied: ‘That was the most savage one to be fair, to say I am here for the money. That’s rude.

Curtis later pulls Molly-Mae for a chat about everything and warns her to be truthful to Tommy, because he believes the boxer is falling for her.

Not ruling it out: Talking to Maura Higgins, 28, she discussed how in the past, her male friends have turned into boyfriends

She said: ‘It’s just mad because I’ve had friends as guys and at stages, I have actually ended up dating them at the end’

Curtis says: ‘What’s come up in the challenge is unexpected. I felt, ever since the start, you came in and you were going between three guys so you could understand why people felt [that] because I thought you were as well…

‘I have no doubts whatsoever but then I have heard a couple of things so I thought I’d ask you… Tommy truly really likes you, Tommy really does so now I’m just going to be talking as a friend of Tommy’s…

‘If anything is ever going to happen please just be truthful with him because he will be able to live with that, just don’t go behind his back.’

Opinionated: Anton agreed with the public that Molly-Mae and Tommy were not likely to last on the outside

He said: ‘They will last all the way through the villa. I would put money on it. I doubt they will last on the outside’

But after the public-bashing, Anton Danyluk, 24, weighed in and said he did not believe that Molly-Mae was with Tommy for the right reasons.

He said: ‘They will last all the way through the villa. I would put money on it. I doubt they will last on the outside.’

Questioning Tommy, he said: ‘Do you think she would leave if you did to be with you?’ Tommy replied that he believed she would.

Meanwhile, Joe has vowed to wait for Lucie, but she in turn has said she is still open to finding love on the show.
