The date for the Love Island final has been confirmed.

The ITV2 show will conclude on July 29, leaving just 17 days until the end with six singles still looking for love henceforth jeopardising their place in the final.

Over and out: The date for the Love Island final has been confirmed

Love Island has always been sex-packed, yet this year the show has become wholly more PG with nobody having sex on-screen thus far.

Naturally, the show has not been without its controversy, as Amy Hart departed the villa earlier this week after battling with mental health woes.

Upon her departure, she weighed in on the lack of sex on the programme: ‘No one wants to have sex as it’s a family show now. It used to be more niche but my 73-year-old nan and grandad are obsessed with it.’

Viewers have flooded Twitter with their thoughts on the lack of sex, with users penning: ‘have they lost the keys for the hideaway it’s only been opened 2x is it because no one is having sex this season?…

Oo-err! The ITV2 show will conclude on July 29, leaving just 17 days until the end with six singles still looking for love henceforth jeopardising their place in the final

‘Molly and Tommy should be allowed in whenever they wish #openthehideaway… Tf are the producers doing? There’s more sex on Prime Minister’s Questions than there’s been this whole season #LoveIsland…

‘old series of love island the islanders were actually having sex with multiple people in the villa it’s so PG now lmao’.

Following a split from Curtis – who she called her ‘first love’ – she made the decision to leave the house in a move she stated was for her sanity.

Shocker: Fans have been disgruntled by the lack of sex in the house with Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague enjoying the steamiest moment – but not full sex

Shocker: Amy also gave her thoughts on the blossoming romance between Curtis, 23, and Maura, 28, insisting their attraction won’t last

The air hostess, 26, claimed producers had to ‘stand over her’ to ensure she would eat after her heartbreak caused her to lose her appetite and drop 6lbs in a matter of days, as she stated: ‘I have to put myself and my sanity first.’

Amy also gave her thoughts on the blossoming romance between Curtis, 23, and Maura, 28, insisting their attraction won’t last.

Admitting she felt ‘numb and confused’ after Curtis called time on their romance, Amy told The Sun: ‘I feel a million times better now I’ve left, but I defy anyone not to fall apart and be completely heartbroken.

‘When I wouldn’t eat, they would stand over me and make me eat a bowl of food or I couldn’t do the challenges.’
