During the live airing of the ITV daytime chat show, part of the set collapsed, with an enormous panel falling away from the screen behind the panellists.
Coleen Nolan, who was cut-off mid-flow by the incident, joked: ‘I’m not being funny but the budget on this show is off the scale!’

Host Charlene White was joined by regulars Coleen and Jane Moore, as well as special guest Storm Keating, wife of Boyzone star Ronan.
The panel were chatting about the possibility of marrying your childhood sweetheart, because England captain Harry Kane married his.
‘I was with my first love for about four years…’ began Coleen, but gasped as she was interrupted by part of the screen behind the panellists breaking off.
Host Charlene gave commentary, explaining: ‘Oh, that’s just part of the set… there it goes!’ before telling Storm: ‘It’s not normally a health and safety nightmare like this.’

Awkward: Attempting to smooth over the incident, host Charlene asserted: ‘Don’t worry, someone’s going to go and secretly pick that up backstage while Coleen talks, so carry on!’

Attempting to smooth over the incident, she swiftly asserted: ‘Don’t worry, someone’s going to go and secretly pick that up backstage while Coleen talks, so carry on!’
And true to her word, a workman was later spotted with a ladder trying to fix the broken set.
Loose Women viewers took to twitter to share their own thoughts on the incident, with one person tweeting: ‘Omg at the set falling to bits!’
Oh dear! Guest Storm Keating, wife of Boyzone star Ronan, had earlier admitted how nervous she was about her first appearance on Loose Women
‘Even the set has had enough of #loosewomen and we are only 20 mins in,’ wrote someone else.
‘The #LooseWomen set just collapsed live on air!!!!!’ tweeted another viewer, while a fan of the show wrote: ‘Haha part of the Loose Women set has fallen down live on air!’
Another person joked: ‘I thought Coleen’s childhood sweetheart was about to walk in (in a Michael McIntyre’s Big Show style).’ (sic)
