Lisa Rinna reveals she started wearing WIGS after Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills co-star Brandi Glanville said she had the ‘same hairdo for 20 years’

Lisa Rinna revealed that she took to wearing wigs after Brandi Glanville famously taunted her about her hair on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

The two women feuded during the fifth season and on one of its reunion episodes in early 2015, Brandi made fun of Lisa for having had ‘the same hairdo for 20 years.’

‘It really was that. “I’ve had the same hair for 20 years,” or whatever Brandi said,’ Lisa, 58, acknowledged to People while discussing her love of wigs.

‘Now it’s 25, 30 at this point! But yeah… it was Brandi. I don’t even need to give credit to her, she’ll take it forever!’ Lisa vamped.

Over the years fans have become accustomed to Lisa’s consistent short haircut, which she has had since her days a soap star in the 1990s.

On the Real Housewives, after Lisa took a swipe at Brandi’s ‘look,’ Brandi retorted: ‘You’ve had the same hairdo for 20 years and you’re basing it on MY look?’

Even Lisa’s close pal Eileen Davidson could not resist responding to Brandi’s dig by laughing uproariously, clapping and saying: ‘Bam!’

As the argument escalated, Real Housewives impresario Andy Cohen, who was moderating the reunion, asked: ‘Rinna, have you had the same hairdo for 20 years?’

‘Yes, I have,’ Lisa replied defiantly as she rounded on Brandi, flipped her off, and shouted at her: ‘And f*** you!’

Ultimately Lisa got a photo-shoot gig where the idea of switching her look up by wearing hairpieces came into her life.

She told People: ‘This photographer wanted to do wigs and I was like: “Great!” I mean, it happened organically. And from there? Forget it. Now you can’t stop me!’

‘It’s amazing. I love what a wig does. They’ve been such a great form of expression for me,’ added Lisa, who is married to her fellow soap star Harry Hamlin.

‘I’m telling you, the wigs have been so much fun. I’m an actor by trade, but I haven’t done a whole lot of acting in the last few years so I haven’t itched that scratch of stepping into different character.’
