Lil Xan is out of rehab.
Early Sunday morning the 22-year-old rapper tweeted that he had left his rehab facility, writing, “Out And Sober ???.”
The announcement comes just two weeks after Xan, whose real name is Diego Leanos, checked himself into the facility. Two weeks before that, he told fans he planned to go to rehab for help kicking an opioid problem. He also announced that his intention to retire his current stage name — a reference to Xanax — and go simply by DIEGO from now on.
While the rapper may now be sober, that didn’t stop him from getting in trouble within hours of leaving rehab.
Later Sunday, the rapper posted a video to Instagram in which he can be seen interacting with Palm Springs police who he claimed “detained” him for listening to loud music at his Airbnb at 10 a.m.
“not a gated community just playing music at 10 having a good sunday lol cops came with hands on there [sic] guns asking me to put my hands where i can see them and i did,” he wrote of the incident. “Detained for no reason and these cops profiled me for the way i look,Anyone who thinks wants to say i’m not sober can think that but i’m Completely sober and was acting very calm.”
According to the post, the rapper and his crew were also kicked out of their Airbnb because of the incident.
