Liam Payne DID have a feud with Louis Tomlinson

‘We hated each other’: Liam Payne admits he DID have a feud with One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson and claims he ‘hasn’t heard from Harry Styles in some time’

Liam Payne has sensationally admitted that he ‘absolutely hated’ Louis Tomlinson when One Direction were first formed.

Now they are fantastic friends, Liam, 26, didn’t mind talking about how they could not tolerate one another back in 2010 when the band were put together on X Factor.

Liam told Hits Radio on Thursday: ‘When we were in the band it kind of felt like, because he was the oldest and because I’d been singing for quite a bit of time we both got put in a weird position.

‘He was wanting to be the leader and I was doing my thing and wanted to.

‘So at first we didn’t get on at all. We absolutely hated each other, it was so funny. Really bad. We hid it well.’

While they met be firm friends now, it seems that things are not so good with fellow former bandmate Harry Styles, 25.

He said: ‘I haven’t seen or heard from Harry in some time now, which is fine, everyone needs their space’

He spoke to Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa on the same day and said: ‘I haven’t seen or heard from Harry in some time now, which is fine, everyone needs their space.

‘Would I like to get back together? Yeah, definitely. I don’t see any reason why we can’t but if that’s the way he feels that’s up to him really.’

It’s looking unlikely that the five-piece will reunite anytime soon – Louis has said that things are over between him and Zayn Malik.

Upset: Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson revealed that his friendship with Zayn Malik ‘never got better’ after singer ‘didn’t show’ at his X Factor tribute performance to his late mother

Hurt: The singer, 27, admitted that it ‘really bugged’ him when Zayn ‘didn’t show’ at his X Factor appearance in December 2016

Back in March, Louis revealed his friendship with Zayn ‘never really got better’ after the singer didn’t support his tribute performance to his late mother Johannah Deakin in December 2016.

Speaking on The Dan Wootton Interview podcast, he admitted that it ‘really bugged’ him when Zayn ‘didn’t show’ at his X Factor appearance.

He explained: ‘Truthfully it never really got better to be honest, I had a couple of calls with him after I lost me mum and, you know, all the boys had agreed to come to that performance and he didn’t show and that really bugged me.

‘Everyone showed and it was a moment of… I got goosebumps there, and seeing Harry [Styles], Niall [Horan], and Liam [Payne], that was what I needed that night, that support.’

While he was clearly upset by the incident, he concluded by saying he hoped that Zayn was ‘alright’.
