Leonardo DiCaprio enjoyed his Saturday out and about by himself in Los Angeles.

The veteran entertainer added a matching hat that he positioned backwards on his head.

Leo, who hails from the City of Angels, finished his ensemble with a pair of lace-up white sneakers.

He rocked a silver-toned chain around his neck and donned a pair of dark, square-shaped sunglasses.

The movie star had a scruffy shadow of a beard along the bottom half of his face, with prominent goatee outline.

Earlier this month Michael Mann revealed he wanted DiCaprio to play the lead in a James Dean biopic back in the 1990s, but put the project on hold because Leo looked too young for the role.

In an interview with Deadline, the director, 79, admitted he put the project on the back-burner to instead focus on the 1995 film Heat, which starred Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and Val Kilmer.

The Academy Award winner described the screenplay for the Dean project and Leo’s potential performance as ‘brilliant.’

‘I found a chap who could play James Dean, but he was too young. It was Leo. We did a screen test that’s quite amazing. I think he must’ve been 19 at the time,’ he recalled.

DiCaprio of course went on to have an illustrious career in Hollywood, gaining respect among critics and his peers.

Last year he starred in Don’t Look Up, a film raising awareness about the imminent effects of climate change, a cause DiCaprio is passionate about in his real life.

He acted alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, Meryl Streep, and a slew of other big names.

DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence portrayed astronomers Dr. Randall Mindy and Kate Dibiasky respectively.

They discover a comet with a ‘100 percent’ likelihood of hitting Earth and ending all life as we know it.
