Lauren Jauregui rocks the stage during MTV’s +1 The Vote Election Afterparty event on Tuesday night (November 6) in Miami, Fla.
The 21-year-old singer performed her debut solo single, “Expectations” at the concert event, which celebrated the midterm elections.
Later on, Lauren headed to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts about the results.
“Although I’m sadden by the control of white supremacists, I can rest easy knowing the goddess has put some INTELLIGENT POWERFUL BADASS WOMEN OF COLOR in Congress to being making progress,” she wrote.
Lauren added, “I thank each of these women for their courage and I pray that the goddess guides and blesses them in their tumultuous journey ahead. It won’t be easy, but I trust these women will give them a damn good fight!”
