Former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson took to Twitter to address a misunderstanding about her which has haunted her for many years now; fans of the band have often accused her of being bitter about their breakup in 2006.
“How come I’m always attacked if I like or comment on a post featuring Beyonce, Kelly, Toya or Michelle? I’m looking at social just like the rest of the (globe). If I like I’m going to double tap or comment whichever one is best! Stop painting this picture of me,” she Tweeted earlier this week.
The tweet comes after she shared a similar sentiment on Instagram earlier this year, after posting a picture from a shoot in London nearly a decade ago.
“This is from a shoot in London. Ppl call me the bitter one but how can I be bitter when I’m so proud of everyone in this picture. We created a legacy that can’t be touched. ALL 4 of us. We have a bond that no one can understand. I can’t compare my chapter 36 to Kelly’s chapter 36 or Beyoncé or LeToya’s so why does the world compare us? So no I’ve never been bitter these are my sisters!!!! Keep winning @beyonce @kellyrowland @letoyaluckett & even @michellewilliams,” she captioned the nostalgic picture, praising her “sisters” for their success and wishing them the very best in all their ventures.
