Lady Gaga's $400,000 Engagement Ring Looks Just Like Princess Eugenie's

Lady Gaga and Princess Eugenie have both been making headlines recently for incredibly different reasons, but they do share a funny jewelry quirk in common — their engagement rings.

Apparently bright, blingy pink sapphire rings are all the rage in the celebrity world nowadays, because both Gaga and Eugenie have them. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gaga’s ring is worth an astounding $400,000, so while we don’t have exact numbers from Eugenie’s camp, it doesn’t take much to guesstimate.

Lady Gaga’s ring from fiancé Christian Carino features the large pink jewel surrounded by diamonds.

“Lady Gaga’s spectacular ring appears to be a 6-7 carat pink sapphire with a diamond halo totaling 3-4 carats. This is likely a high quality, no heat (treatment), pink sapphire,” WP Diamonds President Andrew Brown told E! News. “It looks like it may be a Padparadscha sapphire, in which case this ring would easily retail between $300,000 and $400,000.”

Padparadschas are apparently extremely rare sapphires, so leave it to Carino to go all out with Gaga’s ring (below, right). He also went with a regal gem, considering how similar it looks to Eugenie’s ring (below, left).

Princess Eugenie’s ring is made with the exact same kind of sapphire, also surrounded by diamonds. As Town & Country points out, her ring looks a lot like her mother Sarah’s.
