Kristin Davis May Have Just Thrown Some Shade at SATC Co-Star Kim Cattrall

In a plot-twist we never saw coming, the ladies of Sex and the City began serving up some TMZ-worthy drama nearly 20 years after the show premiered.

We won’t bore you with all the dirty deets (though you can refresh yourself here), but basically Kim Cattrall (Samantha) burst our early aughts bubble by revealing that she and the other ladies who brunch were never actually friends.

Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) refuted these claims, and was honestly just really sad that Kim thought that.

Then Kim’s brother died, and her cast (including Parker) reached out on Instagram with their condolences. But SJP’s “sorry” was not one Kim wanted to hear, and she went off:

My Mom asked me today “When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona. Everyone (seemingly) took a side, even Smith Jerrod (or, you know, the guy who played him).

SJP refused to retaliate, and the mostly one-sided feud began to cool.

One month later Cynthia Nixon announced her run for New York governor, and everyone was pretty jazzed — even Kim voiced her “support.”

On Monday evening, Emmys night, Kristin Davis (Charlotte) celebrated the annual event with a throwback of her SATC pals at the 2004 ceremony — with one notable exclusion: Kim Cattrall.

“Emmy flashback – super happy memories and wishing joy to everyone tonight . We are all so incredibly lucky to get to do what we do !” the actress wrote.

The internet immediately attached a narrative to Kristin’s throwback, labeling it a pointed diss to Cattrall.

At first we were like, ‘Oh, maybe there just weren’t any good group shots?’ but then we saw it, the mark of co-star friendships past … Neither Cattrall nor Davis Follow one another on social media.

To clarify, Kristin, Sarah, and Cynthia all follow each other, and Cynthia even follows Kim, but Kim no longer follows any of the three.

Luckily Game of Thrones won an Emmy last night, otherwise it would be a very dark day for HBO and its loyal viewers.
