Late last month, the musician was recently rushed to hospital after developing a severe case of pancreatitis apparently caused by an endoscopy he had undergone a week earlier.
‘After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,’ he wrote in an Instagram post.
‘During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.’

He concluded by sharing how ‘very very grateful’ he was that he was ‘much better’ following ‘intensive treatment.’
