Kirstie Allsopp hits out at Love Island’s Amy Hart who branded her ‘worst passenger’

Love Island 2019 hopeful Amy Hart, 26, a air hostess for British Airways, claims Location, Location, Location presenter Kirstie Allsopp, 47, tried to nab spare seats in business class for her children, despite only paying for economy. The property show star has openly admitted to sitting separately to her children on flights in the past. Hitting back at Amy’s comments, she told the Huffington Post: “It’s just absurd, she’s not got kids. We have this rule in my family that kids shouldn’t fly in club class because it’s spoiling – I’ve always said that – but if you’re little, you have to fly with your mum and dad.

She’s going to learn the hard way

“We’ve always said that when you get to about seven that you don’t fly with mum and dad any more, and you go into economy.”

She went on to say the encounter on the flight happened roughly five years ago.

She added: “Bay is 12 now so he was probably travelling with his two bigger brothers and was resentful his little brother was still with me and his dad, so was probably going backwards and forwards.”

Kirstie added Amy’s comment “shows so little empathy for the travelling parent”.

She then added Amy was “going to learn the hard way that it’s a lot better when you get on the celeb circuit not to be rude about other people.”

Kirstie’s response comes after Amy was quizzed about her worst celebrity passenger.

She told publication: “I haven’t had any proper nightmares, but the only one was Kirstie Allsopp because she kept going up and down [between business and economy] with one kid and then coming back with two.

“There were lots of spare seats in business class and she kept coming back with two kids, and I was like no if you’ve booked three seats [in business class] then you’ve booked three seats.”

Speaking further of the encounter, she added: “I had to go over and tell them [that they couldn’t sit there].”

Amy went on to praise Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, 53, for being her best celebrity passenger.

She said: “He’s going to be thrilled by this. I love Piers, he’s fantastic. I’m a big fan.”

Elsewhere, Amy will enter the famous Love Island villa in a bid to find love next week.

Speaking of her intentions for appearing on the show, she said: “I’m going there to find ‘the one’ but I’m also going there to have an amazing summer and meet amazing friends as well.

“I’m a real girl’s girl and I do believe in girl code.”

Love Island returns Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
