The 42-year-old rapper said that if Kim and her sisters did not work so hard every day, he may have chosen to relax more.

But because they are always staying on top of their brands, he has chosen to do so too the TV star said during the The New York Times DealBook Conference on Wednesday.

He wants to… keep up with the Kardashians! All of the women in Kim’s family are very successful; the siren is seen here with Kourtney, left, and Khloe, right

West is married to Kim Kardashian with whom he has four children: North, six, Saint, three, Chicago, 21 months, and Psalm, five months.

And Kim has four sisters that all work very hard. In addition to starring on Keeping Up With The Kardashians they have other projects.

Rambling man: West made his comments during The New York Times DealBook Conference on Wednesday. Seen with Steven Smith

‘I think if my family wasn’t so … if they didn’t work so hard and they weren’t so omnipresent, maybe I would just rest on my laurels of just being the greatest artist of human existence, and that would just be enough,’ the star said.

‘But that’s shown that that is not enough.’

He then said that staying fit and talking out problems is also on top of the list.

‘You have to hit the gym, you have to communicate – it’s a modern-day Medici or Rome. It’s an era that people will remember for all of human existence,’ he added.

The Heartless rapper is proud of his family, and says he can’t wait to launch his new project, which involves an ‘innovation community’ centered around his church.

Asked what he’s proud of at the moment, he added: ‘Looking at my daughters and looking at my family, and as we are starting this church and this innovation community where we’re doing education.’

Kanye also spoke about social media, and drew parallels between its addictive nature and cigarettes, though he made sure to note that social media is not as ‘negative’ as the latter.

Mogul 1: Kim runs SKIMS and has KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance

You glow, girl: Khloe runs Good American and has the show Revenge Body

‘I’ve done interviews often that if I post 100 posts, they’re like, “He needs to go to a hospital, he’s going crazy,”‘ he said.

‘But Instagram and different social media, they have the likes come back at a slower speed.

‘They have a certain amount of posts that you should do to look normal.’

Kim and her mom also stopped by the NYT.

Mrs West discussed Instagram taking LIKES away with Andrew Ross Sorkin: ‘I think about when I raise my kids and screen time, phone time, what to post, what not to post, even posting things in real time. I learned from a bad experience that I had when I was robbed that people really knew my every move, they knew what I had, they knew where I was, what I was doing, and that to me really changed maybe the things that I post.

She has her own biz too: Kourtney runs the website Poosh

‘I still want people to feel like they’re along that journey with me, but I might video something and then post it like 30 minutes later, when I’ve left the location more for privacy. But as far as mental health, I mean it’s something that taking the likes away and taking that aspect away from it would be really beneficial for people.

‘And I know that the Instagram team has been having lots of inner conversations with a bunch of people to get everyone’s take on that and is taking it really seriously. That makes me happy.’

She also talked activism: ‘I am really cautious about what I spend. So if I overspend on something and a paid post happens to come in at that time, I’ll weigh it out and think, O.K., well I have to pay for x, y, and z.’
