Khloe Kardashian‘s family doesn’t trust Tristan Thompson as he gets back into the KUWTK star’s good graces, but they’re content to lay low and play nice with him… for now, at least.
That’s the situation according to a new family insider who spoke to People this week, revealing a terse (but polite!) environment around the new momma’s baby daddy.

The source explained that the larger K-fam has decided to play nice specifically to help Khloe:
“Everyone is trying to be civil and nice since Khloe wants them to. Khloe just wants to be supported in the decisions that she makes regarding Tristan. She always understood that her family was very upset and defensive after he cheated. That situation was such a nightmare for Khloe at a time that should have been her happiest.”
Amen to that last part!
The source went on:
“Tristan will always be True’s dad and respect that Khloe is still trying to figure out her life… They are playing nice and being supportive… it doesn’t mean that they think Tristan is a great guy.”
It’s obviously a tough situation between Tristan and KoKo — and we KNOW Khloe’s sisters feel some type of way about the NBA baller — but it’s at least understandable everybody wants to smooth things over to placate her mental health (not to mention True Thompson‘s well-being!).
